Les coordonnateurs·trices de programme sont les leaders étudiant·es en droit de nos 22 sections qui travaillent en étroite collaboration avec les organismes communautaires locaux pour organiser des placements bénévoles qui permettent réellement d’améliorer l’accès à la justice, tout en recrutant, en formant et en soutenant leurs pairs afin qu’ils puissent mener à bien leurs placements sous la supervision d’avocat·es ou de notaires pro bono.

Christina Da Costa

University of Victoria
Christina is an incoming 3L in the dual JD/JID program at the University of Victoria. She serves as the Event Coordinator Executive for the Indigenous Law Student Association and is a student mentor at First Peoples House. As an Indigenous Student Advisor with the Residence Life & Education Department, she supports students by fostering positive relationships and connecting them with resources and campus supports. With over five years of experience in administration and event coordination in the non-profit sector, Christina is excited to apply her skills in public service and mentorship to support PBSC’s initiatives and make a meaningful impact.

Daniela Sirois Ennis

Daniela is going into her second year of law school at UVic. She studied political science and environmental studies at UVic prior to attending law school, and hopes to pursue a career in environmental law. Her past volunteer and community involvement has included being a representative on the UVic Senate, founding her local chapter of Fridays for Future, and organizing youth climate action conferences. In her free time she enjoys running, skiing, and riding her horse Juan. Daniela looks forward to contributing to and supporting meaningful volunteer placements with Pro Bono Students Canada.

Anna Shaffer

Anna Shaffer is an incoming 2L at Thompson Rivers University. Prior to law school, she completed her Bachelor of Arts in French and English, with her courses primarily focusing on representations of women and minorities in literature. As a 1L, she completed a PBSC volunteer placement with Justice Education Society BC, where she communicated with and provided legal information to individuals seeking assistance, covering a wide array of legal issues. Anna is very passionate about furthering access to justice, and she is looking forward to contributing to PBSC’s mission as a Program Coordinator.

Armaan Dhanoa

Armaan Dhanoa is a 2L student at the University of British Columbia. Prior to entering law school, Armaan was involved in developmental psychology research at the University of Alberta, where she studied the effects of various developmental factors on academic achievement. As a 1L, she completed her PBSC placement at Atira Women’s Resource Society, an organization dedicated to helping women experiencing gendered violence. Throughout her first year of law school, Armaan was involved in various clubs, including the Allard Law Women’s Caucus and the Environmental Law Group. Armaan is dedicated to carrying her advocacy into her career in law.

Jenny Tran

Since high school, Jenny always knew she wanted to be a lawyer, and make an impact in the legal field for people like her. As the children of Vietnamese refugees, her academic, and personal goals have led her as an advocate for marginalized communities often not comfortable with the legal field, but have nowhere else to go. Studying International Relations at UBC, and now an incoming 2L studying law at Allard, Jenny is driven to use her skills for all manners and types of people. Jenny is extremely grateful as a new UBC program Coordinator, and hopes to pass opportunities and aid forward with PBSC.

Joey Quan

Joey is an incoming 3L at the University of Calgary. With a BA in Law & Society and Sociology, she brings a strong interdisciplinary foundation to her advocacy work. Joey has been actively involved with PBSC since her first year of law school and is thrilled to return to her role as Program Coordinator. Passionate about fostering access to justice, Joey is eager to explore and implement creative, efficient solutions to the challenges facing vulnerable populations.

Olivia Watchman

Olivia Watchman is an incoming 2L at the University of Calgary. She received a Bachelor of Music from the University of Regina and worked as a piano instructor before starting law school. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, and reading. Olivia is excited to be joining PBSC as a Program Coordinator, where she can combine her passion for community involvement with her dedication to expanding access to legal services within local communities.

Veronica Dirk-Pothier

Veronica Dirk-Pothier is an incoming 3L student at the University of Saskatchewan. Prior to law school, she completed her BA in Psychology with a focus on ethics, criminology, and addictions. Veronica has previously worked with marginalized communities through non-profit organizations in Saskatoon’s core community and wants to use this experience to address the access to justice crisis in her legal career. Veronica is returning as a school-year coordinator and is excited to help ensure all the student volunteers have as great of a time volunteering with PBSC as she did.

Brooklyn Morrison

Brooklyn is going into her third year of law at the University of Saskatchewan. Prior to law school, she completed her bachelor's degrees in Political Studies and Sociology, also from the U of S. Brooklyn has completed two PBSC volunteer projects, partnering with the YWCA and OUTSaskatoon. In her free time, she enjoys teaching voice and piano lessons. Brooklyn feels honoured and privileged to become a PBSC coordinator and hopes that she can help all of the volunteers have as wonderful of an experience as she had.

Dallas Gillingham

Dallas Gillingham is a 2027 J.D. Candidate and PBSC Student Coordinator for the University of Manitoba Chapter. They hold a B.A. Honours in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of Winnipeg where they also worked as a research coordinator and research assistant. Outside of their legal studies, Dallas engages in community organizing and advocacy with the Sex Workers of Winnipeg Action Coalition and the Canadian Alliance for Sex Work Law Reform. Dallas is deeply committed to increasing access to justice for people made vulnerable by systemic discrimination and is excited to support students in their Pro Bono placements.

Riley Parker

Riley is heavily involved in student life at the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Law. In 2L, he served as VP Finance of the Manitoba Law Students Association, Co-President of the Curling, Debate, Squash, and Tennis clubs, Exec-at-Large for both the Feminist Legal Forum and OUTLaws, and as a member of the Faculty Honours Committee, Endowment Advisory Committee, and Art Working Group.
Beyond university, Riley is an active volunteer, managing a crew at the Winnipeg Folk Festival, sitting on the board of Survivor’s Hope Crisis Centre, and working as a member of the provincial NDP’s Sustainability Committee.

Ben is an incoming 2L student at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law. Before beginning his legal education, Ben studied Political Science and Sociology at Wilfrid Laurier University. Originally from Toronto, Ben moved to Thunder Bay to pursue his passion for law and increasing access to justice. Ben has shown a strong commitment to these interests through his work with the John Howard Society and hopes to bring his enthusiasm to the PBSC program! Outside of school, Ben finds inspiration and peace outdoors. He enjoys taking canoe and hiking trips with his brother and friends, and has enjoyed taking in the scenery of Northern Ontario!

Natalie Cusinato

Natalie is a third-year student in the single JD program at the University of Windsor. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Windsor in English Language and Literature. During law school, Natalie progressed to the semi-finals in the Transnational Law Moot and received the Spirit of Negotiation Award in the Canadian National Negotiation Competition (CNNC). Born and raised in Windsor, Natalie’s passion for increasing access to justice started with her volunteer positions at HerCampus Magazine and the Women’s Justice and Empowerment Association. Natalie is excited to further PBSC’s mission and expand her local connections with the law community.

Elan Floorer
University of Windsor
Elan is an incoming 2L Dual JD student at Windsor Law and the University of Detroit Mercy. Before law school, he attended the University of Guelph, where he was very involved in his campus community. Elan graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering and a certificate in business. He is looking forward to applying his passion for community involvement and past project management experience to make a meaningful impact in his new home away from home with PBSC. Outside of school, you can find Elan on game days during the season cheering on Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.

Anjali Kupchand

Anjali recently completed her first year at Western Law, where she’s been actively involved in student advocacy and access-to-justice initiatives. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Forensic Science from the University of Toronto. Prior to law school, Anjali gained hands-on experience in both legal and community settings, including working at a refugee-focused immigration firm, coordinating student volunteers, and working at the Canada Border Services Agency. With a strong interest in family law, social justice, and public service, Anjali is excited to continue building on her passion for law and community engagement through PBSC this upcoming school year.

Angelica has just completed her 1L studies at Western University. Before attending law school, she attended York University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. She has also completed a Master of Arts in Socio-Legal Studies, and a Master of Public Policy, Administration, and Law, also from York University. She has experience working in legal clinics and cannot wait to bring awareness of access to justice issues to the Western community.

Dania is an incoming 3L student dedicated to social justice causes and expanding access to justice. Drawing from her experiences working with marginalized groups, she is committed to advocating for fairness in the legal sphere. Dania's interest lies in empowering those who are often overlooked by the legal system, striving to make justice accessible for everyone.

Sophia Klymchuk is thrilled to join PBSC as one of the program coordinators for 2025-2026! Last year, she worked with PBSC and helped develop public legal education presentations for individuals and families involved in the child welfare system. In her spare time, Sophia likes to knit and dance.

Jia is a law student at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. She holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University. She is passionate about volunteering and non-profit work. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and bird-watching.

Harleen Grewal

Harleen is an incoming 2L at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law. She holds a BBA with a concentration in Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University, where she honed her ability to analyze complex problems and formulate strategic solutions as a teaching assistant, research analyst, and international case competitor. As PBSC's Program Coordinator, Harleen is excited to combine her problem-solving skills with her passion for legal reform to tackle the systemic barriers underlying access to justice in Canada. Outside of her academic pursuits, Harleen enjoys engaging with the creative arts, including film, dance, and music.

Amanpreet Chonkrian

Amanpreet Chonkrian is a former constituency assistant with the City of Toronto, working for a City Councillor, where she worked closely with municipal, provincial, and federal government stakeholders. She is also a former elected Peel District School Board Student Trustee and a former Ontario Student Trustees Association (OSTA-AECO) Board Member, representing over 2 million students at the provincial level.
Amanpreet recently graduated from the University of Toronto, double majoring in Political Science and Criminology, Law and Society, and with a minor in Sociology. Currently, she is a first-year law student at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law.

Alia Samem

Alia Samem is a 3L student at Lincoln Alexander School of Law. She began her academic journey at McMaster University, where she graduated in 2023 with a Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, specializing in Public Law and Judicial Studies. Throughout her studies, she actively participated in academia, serving as a research and teaching assistant. Additionally, she has worked in legal clinics and ventured into entrepreneurship by starting her own flower business. Alia is dedicated to community engagement and improving access to justice, actively working to strengthen and build PBSC's presence at Lincoln Alexander.

Emily is an incoming 3L student at Queen’s University. She is inspired by Pro Bono Students Canada’s (PBSC) commitment to access to justice, a value that aligns closely with her previous work experience. Emily has worked with a non-profit organization dedicated to providing water and sanitation services to communities in Haiti. This experience deepened her understanding of systemic inequities and strengthened her passion for public service. She is eager to contribute to PBSC’s mission and make a meaningful impact.

Megan Coulter

Megan is an incoming 2L at Queen’s University and is excited to serve as the Summer/School-Year Program Coordinator. Before pursuing law, she earned both an undergraduate and graduate degree in history from McGill University and the University of Toronto. As a 1L, Megan was the Project Lead for PBSC’s Compliance in Digital Marketing Project. Driven by her commitment to promoting access to justice, Megan is dedicated to supporting the Kingston community and looks forward to contributing to the growth of the Queen’s University chapter.

Mackenzie Clark

Mackenzie is an incoming 2L English Common Law student at the University of Ottawa. Mackenzie believes that access to justice is a right, not a privilege, and that our society becomes stronger and more equitable when the legal system is accessible to everyone. Outside of her studies, Mackenzie enjoys playing sports and traveling, which allows her to stay active, explore new cultures, and broaden her perspectives.

Amanda is an incoming 3L English Common Law student. During her undergraduate studies, Amanda participated in social justice initiatives and was eager to grow her involvement by joining Pro Bono Students Canada in law school. Specifically, her project with tenant rights illuminated the importance of access to justice by providing information to tenants struggling with unjust evictions Amanda is excited to connect students to these impactful Pro Bono projects as the School-Year Coordinator for 2025-2026. In her free time, Amanda enjoys trying pasta recipes and reading. She was also part of the Law School Musical!

Le parcours personnel et scolaire de Daniela s'est développé grâce à son engagement bénévole auprès d'organisations communautaires telles que Chantiers jeunesse, L'Apathie c'est plate et Katimavik. Ces expériences enrichissantes ont forgé sa vision de la justice sociale.
Pendant ses études en droit, elle s'est investie à la Clinique de droit notarial de l'Outaouais, contribuant activement à la vulgarisation juridique. Elle a également présidé l'ADELED, œuvrant pour la promotion de la diversité et de l'inclusion. Maintenant coordinatrice du programme EPBC, elle s’engage à soutenir des initiatives locales d’accès à la justice, tout en accompagnant les étudiant(e)s bénévoles durant leurs mandats.

Krystel Maignan

Krystel entamera sa troisième année au programme de droit canadien à l’Université d’Ottawa à l’automne. Grâce à une formation bijuridique lui permettant de naviguer entre les traditions de common law et de droit civil, elle développe une approche nuancée et adaptable face aux enjeux juridiques contemporains. Militante engagée pour sa communauté, Krystel est particulièrement attirée par le droit de la famille et l’immigration, qu’elle voit comme des outils concrets de transformation sociale. Animée par une passion profonde d’aider les autres, elle mesure sa réussite à celle des personnes qu’elle accompagne. Inébranlable devant les défis, elle incarne un leadership bienveillant et un désir sincère de justice accessible.

Silvia is an incoming 3L student in the BCL/JD program at McGill University. Before coming to law school, she completed her CEGEP studies at Dawson College in Law, Society and Justice, and in Hellenic Studies and Women’s/Gender Studies. Her love of comparative history and feminism informs the lens through which she approaches her legal studies. In her free time, she loves trying new restaurants, visiting museums, drawing, and going to concerts. She looks forward to engaging in meaningful and impactful work with her fellow students and with organizations.

Charlotte is a second-year student in the Bachelor of Civil Law/Juris Doctor program at McGill University. She completed a pre-university degree in Commerce at Marianopolis College. She has dedicated the past year to PBSC, working with an organization centered on children’s rights. Charlotte has an interest in the intersection of literature, business and law, where she seeks to explore how narratives shape legal discourse. Indeed, she has an interest in how diverse perspectives enrich the legal landscape. Passionate about the potential of law to drive social change, she looks forward to collaborating with various stakeholders to promote access to justice.

Animée par un profond désir d’engagement social, elle s’est investie dans plusieurs organismes, notamment comme intervenante sur une ligne d’écoute pour personnes vivant avec des enjeux de santé mentale.
C’est avec enthousiasme qu’elle se joint à l’équipe d’EPBC en tant que coordonnatrice d’été pour l’année 2025-2026. Déterminée à porter la mission de l’organisme avec intégrité, rigueur et empathie, elle aspire à contribuer concrètement à l’amélioration de l’accès à la justice.

Marianne est une étudiante de troisième année au baccalauréat en droit à l'Université de Montréal. C'est avec grand enthousiasme qu'elle occupera le poste de coordinatrice pour l'année 2025-2026.
Dès sa première année, elle s'est impliquée en tant que bénévole Pro Bono dans un projet concernant le droit de l'immigration. Lors de sa deuxième année, elle a intégrée l'équipe exécutive de la section de l'Université de Montréal en tant que Vice-présidente aux communications externes, ce qui lui a permis de participer activement à l'organisation des divers événements de la section.
Elle est déterminée à promouvoir l'accès à la justice et la mission d'EPBC grâce à son rôle de coordinatrice.

Louna Oukil

Détenant un baccalauréat en droit, Louna est ravie d'avoir la chance de poursuivre son engagement auprès d'EPBC pour une troisième année consécutive. Dès sa première année, elle s'est engagée comme bénévole, puis en tant que chargée du projet "Droit et soins de santé", avant de devenir coordonnatrice de la section UQAM. Grâce à EPBC, Louna a découvert son intérêt marqué pour la justice sociale, l'accès à la justice et la gestion de projet communautaire. Elle est plus que motivée à mettre à profit son expérience pour créer de nouveaux projets et accroître l'impact de sa section sur la communauté montréalaise.

Colin est étudiant au baccalauréat en droit et intervenant social. Travaillant auprès de personnes en situation de précarité, il est particulièrement sensible aux enjeux d’itinérance et d’exclusion sociale. Son parcours dans le milieu communautaire a alimenté sa réflexion sur l’accès à la justice et les droits économiques et sociaux. Convaincu que le droit est un levier essentiel de changement social, Colin participe activement à des initiatives visant à défendre les droits des personnes marginalisées. À travers ses divers engagements juridiques et communautaires, il cherche à allier théorie et pratique afin de promouvoir une justice plus accessible et équitable. Il s’agira de sa deuxième année d’implication auprès de la section uqamienne et sa première à titre de co-coordinateur.

Sarah Létourneau

Sarah a fait son baccalauréat en droit à l’Université de Sherbrooke. Durant son parcours universitaire, elle a eu le plaisir de participer comme bénévole au sein de pro bono et d’avoir une place auprès du comité exécutif. L’enjeu de l’accès à la justice est ce qui la motive à entreprendre des études en droit, mais surtout de s’impliquer auprès d’EPBC. Elle entamera sa maîtrise en pratique du droit criminel et pénal à l’automne prochain à l’Université de Sherbrooke. Voulant continuer à s’impliquer auprès d’une organisation qui lui tient à cœur, elle sera coordonnatrice de programme pour l’été et pour l’année scolaire 2025-2026.

Aude coordonnera pour un second mandat les activités du comité des Étudiants Pro Bono du Canada de l'Université Laval pendant l’année scolaire 2025-2026. Ayant à cœur l’accès à la justice, le respect des droits et l’équité, elle aspire à contribuer au changement en s’impliquant concrètement. Engagée depuis plusieurs années dans le milieu communautaire, elle souhaite participer à la construction d’une société plus juste. Après une carrière en journalisme, Aude s’est tournée vers le domaine juridique pour rester au plus près des enjeux sociaux actuels. Elle croit profondément en l’approche collaborative et en la justice sociale pour défendre les droits des personnes les plus vulnérables.

Anabelle amorcera sa troisième année au baccalauréat en droit à l’Université Laval à l’automne 2025. Impliquée dans les comités étudiants depuis le début de ses études, elle a acquis une expérience concrète en organisation d’activités et en travail collaboratif. Reconnue pour sa rigueur, sa débrouillardise et son sens des responsabilités, elle sait mener à bien des initiatives tout en favorisant un climat de collaboration. Portée par des valeurs d’entraide et de justice sociale, elle s’intéresse particulièrement au droit de la santé, de la jeunesse et de la famille, où elle souhaite mettre à profit son leadership et son engagement pour créer un impact concret.

Hannah is an incoming 2L at the University of New Brunswick. Her passion for access to justice stems from her time working in legal research, being a class action litigation paralegal and volunteering in her community. Before law school Hannah also studied journalism and law and justice in her hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is a passionate advocate, avid reader and self-proclaimed crazy cat lady.

Archelery Lesly a 23 ans et elle est une étudiante de deuxième année dans le programme de Juris-Doctor et MBA de l’université de Moncton. Cela fait maintenant 6 ans qu’elle vie au Canada. Lesly a gradué d’un baccalauréat en administration des affaires, spécialité Gestion Internationale à l’université de Moncton. Elle est originaire de la Martinique qui est un département français. La Martinique est une île qui se situe dans les Caraïbes. Elle est une étudiante dynamique et rigoureuse. Elle aime écouter de la musique et faire du sport.

LOCAUX/LOCALES 2025-2026
Les superviseur·es locaux/locales sont des membres du personnel d’EPBC ou du corps professoral des facultés de droit où se trouvent les sections d’EPBC. Ils fournissent des conseils et supervisent les activités de leur section, en veillant à la mise en place et à la réalisation de placements bénévoles qui font avancer l’accès à la justice dans leurs communautés.
